The Crowne Plaza Los Angeles International Airport Hotel is located on Century Blvd so close to LAX terminals that from our window we (me not Robyn) could watch the jets arrive and depart but it was so quiet you wouldn't know you are so close to the 4 runways that operate 24/7.
After a sleep to recover from the flight we caught the 'Big Blue Bus' for a 50 cent ride to Santa Monica Pier to take in the setting sun over the Pacific Ocean, something we have not experienced before as we live on the East Coast of Australia have not been to Perth in Western Australia.

Day 2 - Los Angeles Grand Tour
This is the most complete sightseeing tour of Los Angeles. Mundy was our guide on the air-conditioned bus taking us to places like Farmers Village and the marina, Farmer's Market, El Capitan Theatre, Chinese Theatre, Hollywood Walk of Fame, the sights of LA, Japanese Garden, drive through some of the streets with Hollywood stars etc.
"Welcome to Hollywood! What's your dream? Everybody comes here. This is Hollywood, the land of dreams. Some dreams come true, some don't, but keep on dreamin'. This is Hollywood. Always time to dream, so keep on dreamin'." Pretty Woman (1990)
Day 3 - Free day of sightseeing
Today we headed out to Santa
Monica Airport to visit Berkut aircraft factory to see the Renaissance Composite kit aircraft
that reaches speeds of 350mph (depending on the engine) but along the way we got lost and had to walk the
parameter of the airport – Robyn was not happy given it was hot and dry. We had
lunch at the Spitfire Grill before walking through the factory checking out the
fibre glass moulds, instruments, controls, assembly area, climbing into the
cockpit with its leather seats and plenty of leg room. Its main characteristic
is the retractable wheel and with a price tag starting at $60,000 USD it is
very reasonable. This was my day and Robyn put up with me, isn't she good. Tell
him he’s dreamin.
