EMPOWER Trauma Rehabilitation program for traumatised victims of the civil war in Lira, Northern Uganda - 2010
The objective of the empower program developed by Dr Robi Sonderegger, Founding Director of Family Challenge, is to encourage the people we will be working with to develop skills to become successful in life. The program is in two parts, firstly building ‘emotional strength to they are able to cope really well even if faced with stressful and traumatic situations’, and secondly through ‘forgiveness, letting go of past hurts, bitterness, and anger towards other people and freely getting on with life’.
